The Anderson United Methodist Church (AUMC) Inaugural Women of Virtue Conference will occur at the Jackson Convention Complex on April 5-6, 2024, concluding at Anderson United Methodist Church on April 7th.
We will kick off the conference that Friday at 10am with a day of relaxation. Come be pampered mind and body with line dancing, massages, cooking demonstrations, health screenings, and mini workshops on women’s health issues, financial wellness, haircare, skincare, aromatherapy, and much more — all included in your Conference registration! Enjoy lunch and/or dinner (on your own) at one of our Food Truck vendors on the premises. Then Friday night, doors will open at 6:30 as we prepare to laugh, praise and worship with Comedian Small Fire and gospel artist, Maurette Brown Clark.
Saturday morning, Brian Courtney Wilson will lead us in praise and worship as we focus on spiritual health. There will be various workshops that day designed to uplift and encourage you along your life’s journey. Midday, we will enjoy a luncheon, before the second half of our workshop sessions. Saturday night, we will enjoy an incredible worship experience led by none other than Karen Clark-Sheard. Vendors will be on-site all-day Friday and Saturday for your shopping pleasure.
The conference will conclude on Sunday, April 7th at AUMC, with a dynamic worship service at 10:15 AM led by Bishop Sharma Lewis, who will provide a soul-stirring closing message, culminating with a Sister2Sister Brunch at noon in the AUMC Upper Fellowship Hall. Space is limited for the brunch, and tickets must be purchased separately.
